Savage in the kitchen.
Kind to animals.

Aren’t’ there enough vegan blogs out there?

Probably, but one more can’t hurt. I think there is room on the internet for all of us.

Well how is yours different then?

Maybe it isn’t all that different, but it is written by me and I truly think each person brings something unique to veganism.  Also – and I may be a tad biased – but my food is really good.

Who are you and why are you talking to me?

I am Kat, a 31 year old Melbournian, and I’m vegan. I live with my non-vegan partner and our four meat eating cats… you came here remember?

Oh right… so why should I be vegan?

Honestly, you don’t have to be. Even just reducing your animal product consumption a little bit is a great achievement. You may find that overtime you slowly replace your favourite animal laden meals with yummy vegan alternatives and that’s awesome. Everyone needs to draw their own line in the sand when it comes to making ethical decisions. My line may not be near your line but that doesn’t mean we don’t keep trying to do better. There will be ongoing discussions on this blog about what it means to be vegan, how we stay vegan, and how to help the non-vegans in our life reduce their animal product consumption (hint: with kindness and delicious food).
